Serghei “Serge” Usicov (Born January 17th 1997) is an actor, hip-hop artist, model, YouTuber, charity worker, and internet personality. He performs music under the stage name Surgical, and is publishing most on his material on his YouTube Channel “Surgical Entertainment”. Born in Chișinău, Moldova, at the age of 2, he and his family flew over to the United States of America in 1999. Raised in a Christian home in Charlotte, North Carolina, he found his interest in acting when he took a theatre class in his old high school, David W. Butler High School. Usicov then attended Central Piedmont Community College completing an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts with Honors, and then he transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to finish his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Russian. He was heavily involved in programs such as film studies, weightlifting, and he played rugby on the UNC Charlotte's intramural team. During that time, he worked part time as a local Security Officer as well as a part time actor landing small roles.

 Usicov goes by the stage name “Surgical” when he is creating and performing music. He got the name “Surgical” from his friends at church. The meaning of the stage name described by Usicov himself as “opening people’s minds up with flow and meaningful lyrics”. He started rapping (freestyling) at the age of 10, but then started recording music at the age of 17. His style is more a fast-pacing poetic flow. Never afraid to go versatile, he likes to switch flows depending on the instrumentals he is rapping on. Usicov got inspired by hip hop artists such as Eminem, Lecrae, Andy Mineo, and NF. He brings a more spiritual tone to his music and focuses more on his past life events after being exposed to the message of the Gospel at a young age. He has released a couple of songs on SoundCloud, and is planning to release more music in the year 2021 under the record label Royalty Sound Records. He is hoping to release a full-fledged album in the near future. Usicov also directs and edits his own music videos and posts them on his YouTube channel.

Usicov started getting involved in film projects in 2018 in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Like the famous rapper Dababy, he wants the City of Charlotte to be recognized for its young talented artists. Known for films such as The Bus Ride (2018), What Lies Beyond (2016) and Chronicles of Sarah (2018), he is planning of expanding his portfolio in the year 2021 in acting. He is famously known for his starring role in the popular YouTube series VINDICATORS as Vince Spalkov created by Schopix Studios. His character has received some critical acclaim from filmmakers and the Overwatch community. He recently has nabbed a few more roles in the year 2020 despite the pandemic. One of this is a mercenary in the film “Practice” (2020) which was viewed at film festivals and won various awards such as the “Best Action Short” and “Best Director”. He is planning to direct his own future short films, and publish them on the new streaming service for Independent Filmmakers, Future Theaters.
